About Us

Roberta DegenerROBERTA A. DEGENER, RPA, FMA

As President of West Coast Retail Management, Roberta Degener concentrates her efforts on creating value-add opportunities to maximize client investments. She has focused attention on the development of high level strategic asset plans while ensuring successful follow-up execution and implementation. Roberta is hands on with the brokerage, construction and acquisition teams, while placing special attention on client and tenant retention programs. She is also charged with internal business development and overseeing the company growth plan.

Formerly as Vice President of Asset Management for Madison Marquette, Roberta Degener successfully directed all aspects of the San Diego regional office operations for the past 10 years with profit and loss accountability as well as the management and leasing of Madison Marquette’s retail portfolio in Southern California. She was responsible for the development and implementation of property strategic plans and as well as for the fiscal performance of each property in the portfolio. Additionally, her extraordinary leadership qualities empowered her team which cultivated a foundation for employee longevity and advancement.

Prior to joining Madison Marquette, Roberta was an Asset Manager for Burnham Pacific Properties (REIT) where she was responsible for the operations, management, development/construction, leasing, strategic planning and fiscal property performance for a mixed use portfolio including office, medical, industrial and retail properties in San Diego. The properties included distressed assets requiring development and implementation of strategies to facilitate short and long term re-positioning, re-imaging and re-merchandising plans. Prior to her employment with Burnham Pacific Properties, Ms. Degener managed and leased properties for John Burnham & Co., Compass Management, and Trammell Crow.

Ms. Degener maintains her California Broker License and holds both the Real Property Administrator (RPA) and Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) designations from the Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI). She is also an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW).

 

Jill HoganJILL V. HOGAN, RPA, FMA

As Vice President of West Coast Retail Management, Jill Hogan oversees the operational and financial performance of the company’s Southern California portfolio of third party owned retail assets. Ms. Hogan also works closely with the executive team in West Coast Retail Management’s business development and client retention endeavors.

Formerly as a Property Manager for Madison Marquette, Jill Hogan successfully oversaw the day to day management and operations of the properties in Madison Marquette’s retail portfolio in San Diego and Orange Counties. She was responsible for overseeing each property’s operations, marketing coordination, financial reporting, business and budget plan preparation, cashflow forecasting, and fiscal property performance for the past 8 years. She led the lease negotiation efforts to ensure optimal terms were achieved to meet with Landlords’ objectives. Ms. Hogan was continuously successful in evaluating and implementing creative means of generating additional income and expense reductions at each of her projects in order to maximize NOI and increase property values.

Prior to her employment with Madison Marquette, Ms. Hogan was a residential leasing consultant for AvalonBay Communities, Inc. (REIT).

Ms. Hogan maintains her California Real Estate Salesperson License and holds both the Real Property Administrator (RPA) and Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) designations from the Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI). She is also an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). In 2011, Ms. Hogan was elected to the Board of Directors for CREW San Diego and runs the organization’s special events committee. Ms. Hogan earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire in May 2000, and her Masters in Business Administration from San Diego State University in December 2010 where she was recognized as the outstanding performer of her graduating class.
